Over the years Paul has often ventured out of the cutting room, producing and directing a wide variety of films exploring music, the environment, society and culture. For the BBC, he directed "1976: Summer of Heat" in which he delved into the strange mind of Sex Pistols’ fiery lead singer John Lydon. "The Wilderness", part of BBC Storyville's Extreme Oil series, exposed BP’s illegal practices in Alaska, winning a Cine Golden Eagle Award
"1976: Summer of Heat" (BBC)
Other films have investigated abuses of privilege and power, such as BBC's “King’s Cross: Beneath The Flames” which revealed the tragic consequences of corporate negligence by London Underground.
For Channel 4 he directed “Rome: The Model Empire”, presented by Jonathan Freedland, an insight into America's strategy for world domination.
Paul now has over eighty TV credits and still enjoys both editing and directing. Recently he has edited and co-produced a number of international feature length documentaries.
